Set within a residential neighbourhood in north-west Ormesson-sur-Marne, the Zen project brings together 70 collective housing units — 34 social and 36 for private ownership — arranged across four buildings in a U shape around a planted courtyard facing due south. The architectural language draws on the classical vocabulary of the Château d'Ormesson: three building typologies unfold through a warm, understated material palette — stone-toned corrugated brick, lime render, solid limestone and anthracite railings. 78% of the units are dual-aspect or through-apartments, each extended by a loggia, balcony or terrace. The ground floor opens onto a co-working space and a shared garden, complemented by a green roof between the buildings.
The environmental approach relies on a planting palette of 70% species native to the Île-de-France region, and targets the Label IntAIRieur, Référentiel Santé+ and NF Habitat HQE Excellent certifications.
